My final feedback after 5 months of using UT on a Xiaomi Mi A2
-
@embeddedmz did you try waydroid for the banking app?
-
@embeddedmz regarding taking photos of a text, did you try tabbing on the camera picture, to readjust the focus (as well as the exposure) to the very location, before taking the picture.
Regarding the headphone volume, did you try the uVolMan app?
-
@magnargj No, I don't know what it does
-
@mschmids I just downloaded this app and I changed my headphones to a bigger one.
Maybe it's the converter that is unable to deliver a big power to the headphones, with a bigger headphone, the output of a high volume is slightly above a normal volume but it is not very high.
This is the adapter I'm using : https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B089FBGH2B/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AXZ3JQ1GVFPIF&psc=1

@embeddedmz waydroid allows you to run android apps on a linux device such as a UT phone.
-
@magnargj is it hard to install it in UT ?
-
@embeddedmz No, their is an app that helps, Waydroid is only supported on certain phones, it works ok with limitations.
-
@embeddedmz I have the same phone as you, and it was easy to install using waydroid helper which is in the open store. I wouldn't say that waydroid is completely streamlined and snappy, but my overall experience is positive. The freezinng camera is a greater nuisance...

@magnargj
Permission issue in camera app is a wide device issue.
On my MX4 it occurs only when HDR is on, try to switch it off an see if you still have it.
HDR is in many cases useless. -
@keneda never had HDR on so it isn't that. The only sollution I've found is to be patient and reboot the phone twice (since the first attempt basically only closes all open apps)

@embeddedmz said in My final feedback after 5 months of using UT on a Xiaomi Mi A2:
- Volume of headphones used with a USB Type-C to 3,5 mm adaptor is low even if the system sound volume is at it highest value.
Boot device to recovery screen. (restart + Volume Up) and connect to PC. From Terminal do:
- if your vendor is flashed to slot A:
adb shell mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/vendor_a /tmp adb pull /tmp/etc/mixer_paths.xml sed -i -e '/RX1 Digital Volume/{s/72/81/}' -e '/RX2 Digital Volume/{s/72/81/}' mixer_paths.xml adb push mixer_paths.xml /tmp/etc adb shell umount /tmp
- if your vendor is flashed to slot B:
adb shell mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/vendor_b /tmp adb pull /tmp/etc/mixer_paths.xml sed -i -e '/RX1 Digital Volume/{s/72/81/}' -e '/RX2 Digital Volume/{s/72/81/}' mixer_paths.xml adb push mixer_paths.xml /tmp/etc adb shell umount /tmp
You can try to change both slots.
Restart device and enjoy.Note: sed command is changing volume 72 to 81 in this section:
<path name="headphones-ce"> <path name="headphones" /> <ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="72" /> <ctl name="RX2 Digital Volume" value="72" /> </path>
- The web browser : when watching a video on Youtube, it's impossible to move the seek bar to another time and when we try harder there's the contextual menu of the browser that appears.
You can try tapping (double, tripple etc.) right side of video to forward, left side to backward seek.

I haven't need to using banking in my phone. I don't need any special facilieties. I must have a send SMS, calls and simply browser. And od course battery time should be at least day. When i had a Nexus 5, it was using as my second driver phone, but it had broken.
In Monday i installed UT on Xiaomi Mi A2, but I have a problem with short time on battery π₯²
UT is morΔ stable and comfortable OS than earlier. Only problem is baterry time. I must charge Three times on 24 hours, what is very non comfortable.
I'm looking solve on this forum and I Hope I will find this
I wants to UT stay my first daily driver OS on mobile
