Mobile data connection limited to 2G (edge)

Dear experts,
I have (actually two) Nexus 5, which fail establishing a mobile data connection better then 2G (OTA-23 install). It is a fresh install so not sure if it ever worked on that phone.
Do you have any idea what I can do/test? Could be a hardware issue as well.

Am I right in thinking you are in North America? The 3G networks there were turned off recently.

Hi, @cliffcoggin, thanks for the reply, no it is germany... I am using a FP2 with UB without probplems (same provider and same settings)...
