Pixel 3a xl with android 10.
-
I bought a new Pixel 3a XL and it has Android 10 on it but the webpage shows Android 9 works with ubuntu touch which I'd like to load onto my new pixel, do I need to change the android version to 9 before attempting to flash it? That would mean that the Halium version would need to be changed to 9? I'm so confused, never did this before, any suggestions on the software versions? And the factory image on my phone, since I just opened the box is original but not the one shown on the webpage, what to do with that? Will ubuntu touch work with Android 10 on a pixel 3a xl?![alt text](image url)

@roger-ramjet You should follow the instructions given here: https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/sargo/
Scroll down to "Preparatory Steps", it is stated there that you need a very specific Android Version before installing Ubuntu touch. I did it for a Pixel 3a a few weeks ago and the installation worked perfectly. But in my experience, if the Android Version differs from the one that is requested, the UT Installation likely fails. -
@roger-ramjet Have a look here and read through the link in the first post https://forums.ubports.com/topic/7568/install-ut-on-google-pixel-3a-xl/29 See if it makes things clearer.
You will need a specific version for your device but the instructions should make that clear and have all the links you need. Make sure you take your time and you will be ok. Any issues or further questions just ask and someone will reply as soon as they can.Edit: Link for preparatory steps https://developers.google.com/android/images#bonito Make sure to revert to factory image PQ3B.190801.002 before continuing:
