Not able to unlock with fingerprint sometimes
-
I find that sometimes I cannot unlock my 5T with the fingerprint but I cannot surely say when exactly that happens... It seems to me that it kind of happens after the phone stays locked for more minutes... For sure if I lock the phone and immediately unlock it it works each time. So it doesn't look like a problem with identifying the fingerprint but rather that the unlocking by fingerprint does not work anymore and it requires the password to be typed.
Does anybody else has this?
Thank you.

@mihael @Flohack has made a fix for the Volla. See https://github.com/HelloVolla/ubuntu-touch-beta-tests/issues/99 . Maybe he knows.
-
@domubpkm Oh, thank you, I didn't know it's a known issue related to deep sleep. It makes sense. I wrote to Florian on github to ask him if I should try that fix on 5T. Thank you again!

I see that it was reported and has been worked on here:

For anyone interested in the solution mentioned above that worked on Volla: it didn't work on my 5T and stopped the OS from booting into the login screen - I had to reinstall the OS.
-
@mihael On the Volla, the installation was not done without problems (for me and other testers) even if everything has been working fine since then. Have you tried a forced restart (press the power key for about 15 seconds)?
-
@domubpkm Oh, yes, the phone would restart but not boot completely - it would not get to display the login page but get stuck on the red upborts loading wallpaper.
-
@mihael I think you should try to switch to RC with the installer (don't erase your data).
