Google contact not sync

Hi everybody, it's my first post here. I own an meizu pro 5 ubuntu editio porte to ubuntu touch. I'm tryng to use it as first phone, as my android device just died.
I logged in with my google account, but the contacts app do not sync contacts. Can somebody help me?Thanks to all for the stunnig work you are doing!

@lorenzbao could you give some more information? Like what update channel are you on (stable, release candidate or devel)?
How did you log in to your Google account? Did you add an entry in Online Accounts under Settings, or did you log in in the Contacts app?
Did you enable the contacts switch under the online accounts settings?

I'm in the stable channel. I've try to log in both metods, either from settings either from the app. When i log from the app a message appear telling
that the account is a duplicate, but no contacts appear. I'm on the stable channel, OTA 23. -
@lorenzbao Have you set up less secure apps on your Google account and or two factor verification or sign in on another device. IIRC contact sync should still work on stable.

The option less secure app is no more avaiable on google account.

@lorenzbao Then try one of the alternative account verification methods. Then sign into your account System Settings, Accounts, you should then verify your account. Then switch on contacts under the accunt options.

The switch work fine. But contacts do not appears in app.
