return to old modem.bin how? meizu pro5
-
Hello, I would like to return install the old modem.bin file as it came with the release. I have installed an upgraded .bin file as per this post [link text]https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2755/meizu-pro-5-flyme-os-to-ubuntu-touch-modem-update-fingerprint-function(link url), but since then I have no hotspot functionality anymore. does someone has another .bin file and can I do the proces reversed? thanks (not a lot of knowhow but learning).

In Terminal enter:
sudo -i
sudo mount -o remount,rw /
cd /var/lib/lxc/android/
mv /var/lib/lxc/android/system.img.old /var/lib/lxc/android/system.img
rebootBest regards,

@totalsonic great, now I cannot call anymore, as it doesn,t detect my simcard anymore.....and hotspot still does not work.

@totalsonic I changed to RC and I have my simcard recognized again......and hotspot is working as well.

@swisskoala this anbox makes me nuts: How do I uninstall it? I can't find a way to do this.
at the moment I see this at "anbox-tool status"
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ anbox-tool status
Kernel: NOT OK
System: OK
Enabled: YES
Running: NO
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$but the morph browser is not working with WiFi nor 4g after doing the steps above in this thread. Only my simcard is recognized again, so at least I can call again
nevertheless, How to uninstall anbox completely from my Meizu pro 5, please?

@swisskoala Anbox has been removed from Ubuntu Touch root file system image some times ago.
It has been "somehow" replaced by WayDroid for devices that run Halium 9 and < hardware under-layer. Meizu pro5 is unfortunately not supported by WayDroid.
To completely remove Anbox:
-
From Android settings remove all your apps.
-
In terminal:
anbox-tool disable sudo rm -rf ~/anbox-data/ ~/.local/share/applications/anbox/
- There are desktop files named anbox at:
~/.local/share/applications
which you can delete the apps on the drawer.
Then reboot your device. You may have to wait for the next OTA, or reinstall Ubuntu Touch (do not check wipe option) with the UBports Installer to put back your device in a fully functional state.
