Stuck in Recovery Mode after installing UT on Sony Xperia X (suzu/F5121 & F5122)
-
Hello everybody,
i’m new here and i’m not very much into tech stuff. Already posted this in a thread that is 2 years old, got no help so here i open up a new one:My Sony Xperia X is stuck in Recovery Mode after uports-installer said installation was successful. There seems to be no way to start Ubuntu Touch or even turn off the phone.
Someone in this thread had the same issue on the same machine and solved it. He writes:
"Finally after resintalling android, I erased cache, data and system paritions and then use "Wipe data" using TWRP and I succcesfully installed ubuntu."Do I really have to re-install android? I don’t know how to do so; all the process was already quite an odyssey for me. (i had to switch "bootloader unlock allowed:no to .yes by using qunlocktool)
Any help is welcome!

@cuboid what did the UT installer say which version of Android had to be installed?
-
@mrt10001 it said i need android 8, which i had.
(by the way: i tried different cables and usb ports as well)

@cuboid it happened to me as well. Not sure how it finally suceeded. But tried to installed again iirc.
Started installation while on recovery. Then it should ask to boot to bootloader. -
@lduboeuf it helped me to know that you succeeded by installing again and again. I just let the installer run again, chose 16.04/stable (as i also tried before) and BINGO!
I think i installed for about 20 times now...thank you everybody for spending time on open source.
I might be back with further questions... -
