How to enable ACA (OTG + charging) on Oneplus5 Ubuntu Touch 20.04

Hi, I just successfully flashed my old OnePlus 5 with Ubuntu 20.04 using UBPorts installer.
But I can't make my phone to be charged while reading a USB drive. I tried using Anker powered hub, but the phone can either charge or read external drive, but cannot do both at the same time.
How should I enable this ACA (Accesory Charging Adaptor) mode?

@albert-0 What happens when you charge while a flash drive is mounted? It gets unmounted?
I don't usually use flash drives but I've tried external display and/or mouse/keyboard and charging usually just works even on old devices like the Nexus 5.

I tried a few different steps:- I plug the power & external drive to the hub, then plug in the hub to phone (only power works)
- Only plug ext drive to hub, hub to phone. At this point the ext drive works, but later I plug in the power to the hub, it doesn't charge and just continue reading the ext drive.
- Only plug the power to hub, hub to phone. The charging works fine. But after I plug in ext drive, it just ignores the drive, and continue charging only.
Basically whatever it does first will stay and ignore the rest. I tried with LAN cable too since the anker hub also has the socket for Ethernet port. It behaves the same as the ext drive.
I suspect that the hub was broken, but nope, it works on my macbook and Samsung Galaxy phone.

@albert-0 I'm gonna test it on my devices but I have no OnePlus device. I've heard OTG limitations in OnePlus but let's see

Btw, what other devices that you can confirm can do that? I may just try and find second hand phones. -
@albert-0 I tried it on my Fxtec Pro1-X and Fairphone 4. They seem to work fine. I don't have a FAT32 drive though so I just used the external storage app to test if the drive is read.

@kugiigi thankyou for your kind help. I think I've figured out why after reading so much, I found out that not all Android devices support charging and OTG at the same time, some mentioned the value of resistor on certain pins.

@albert-0 On my Vollaphone charging and using mouse/keyboard at the same time via a USB-hub is also working.
