Cannot record videos in focal

After upgrading to focal from xenial within the system settings, I cannot record videos - it actually shows that it records but when I click on stop recording, it says "Capture failed. Restarting your device might fix the problem". I checked the permissions and camera app has permissions granted to use the camera and the mic. The resulting file in the Gallery says "An error has occured attempting to load media".
Any help would be greatly apreciated! Thank you in advance!

I think this issue is related to the fact the playback of the videos previously recorded in Gallery is not working either.
Looking into the logs for both Gallery and Media Player I found the same error:
No video backend selected. Video rendering functionality won't work.
Can anybody help, please?

Now we are at OTA-3, the first real stable release, you should do a clean install (with wipe data) with the installer.

@domubpkm Thank you for your reply. Yes, I saw in https://forums.ubports.com/topic/9311/solved-video-recording-since-ota-2/4 that a clean install (with wipe data) solved this issue but I am not willing to go down that road yet. And yes, I am on OTA-3 right now. I hoped that the update to OTA-3 would solve this but it didn't. So I was hoping that I could find a way to solve this issue.

@mihael Not specifically for this problem, but it's better to avoid dragging around some Xenial slags.
