I really like the new forum theme, but now i think it's time to restructure the forum. To me, it just does not make sense to have multiple general categories, and since we're widening our circle from "only porting and a little support" to "basically everything and more", we need to make some adjustments around here.
First of all, i'd like to ditch the individual phone categories and make use of discourses tagging function instead. That way it's easier to fix issues that affect multiple devices and you can still find the important stuff fast and easy. Also, i'd like to have less subcategories, so that we have all the important stuff in the same place. New categories need to be created to cover our new responsibilities like the Application Development and work on the OS and Unity 8.
Here's the categories i think we need:
- General (meta, organizational stuff, general discussion)
- OS (core functionality and apps, improvements)
- App Dev (programming for Ubuntu Touch)
- Unity 8 (General work on Untiy 8 and convergence)
- Porting (what we used to do)
- Support (a place to discuss problems)
- Off topic (anything that does not relate to the above)
Any thoughts?

All done.

Awesome, imho that is a lot more usable. Thanks

Plus I suggest to realize Support via a generic ticketing, but I will bring this up in the next meeting
-
Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. But i think we should also keep the forum section in order to allow users to help each other.

Ok, the new structure is in place. I tagged and moved all 150+ posts, now we'll see how it goes

Apropos support: We also have to think about the future of Ubuntu Touch Questions on Ask Ubuntu. In my opinion this depends on how we'll do this. If we become like an official flavor, we should keep it, if we go our own way and maybe even change names, we should ditch it. Let's talk about that in the next meeting and then probably discuss it on askubuntu meta.

@NeoTheThird I would like to have a kind of document/pinboard to note down items for the next meeting
