@UBportsNews Will there be a focal version of notes app? The Xenial version is no longer working on my device.

@messayisto Are you talking about the preinstalled notes app? It should have installed a new Focal version when you updates / installed Focal on your device.

@arubislander oops. I deinstalled it and now I cannot find it in the openstore app. When I go to the openstore website there are only xenial versions. how can I get it back then?

@messayisto O, I see what you mean. That is not how it should be. I see that for the other apps (Camera, Galery, etc) there are separate Xenial and Focal versions. But this is not the case for the Notes app.

To resolve your issue, please have a look at this post, and adapt to your specific situation.

@messayisto The file is named notes.ubports. It turns out to be under the @all folder rather than phablet

@arubislander Thank you again very much! I followed the post and your way to the right folder, removed the entry - and have back the notes app again! Its not possible to link it with an evernote account , as it wasnt before under focal, buts that is another issue, and for now I won't spam this thread with my questions anymore. sorry for that by the way, and see you tonite in the q&a!
                            best regards

@messayisto You are welcome. I forked off our thread from the main one to make it easier for the hosts to find the questions they might want to answer. I hope you don't mind.

But concerning your original question, the missing Notes app for Focal in the Open Store is a bug that is being looked into as I write this.
