      Hi ti everyone!

      I wanted to install android back on my pixel 3a XL but for some reason it just doesn't work. I am trying to flash it using a standart chrome android flash tool and on the last step it just get stuck forever at "prepearing your device - in progress" . Nothing happends then on the phone screen as well. =(

      Press here to see a screenshot

      I have tried all the cables which I have at home but it seems that the problem is somewhere else, as they all work fine. Probably I need a specisl google pixel brand cable, I dont have the one which was in the box. I don't know =(
      Do you guys probably know what a problem here might be?

      ps I have also enabled "developer mode" in the settings, didn't help either...

      thanks in advance!

        @UTdroid My advice would be to not lock the bootloader. You have a high chance of bricking the device. I would also revert back to the Android version: factory image PQ3B.190801.002 first then upgrade the device through OTA upgrades.

        Also boot the device to fastboot, not Ubuntu Touch and set the flash tool going from there.

          @MrT10001 Thanks for your reply.

          What do you mean to not lock the bootloader? for some reason the phone just doesn't respond to adb commands through cmd :((
          I also tried to find a guide or a video on youtube how to do that, but just could not. There are 99999 videos about how to install UT and literally almost none about how to get back to android...

          if I try to start flashing going from fastboot (fastboot mood on a phone with a red exclamation mark) my PC and the adnroid flash tool just won't see my device "No devices available".

            @UTdroid Your device is not being seen by the pc. You need to make sure you have the latest fastboot drivers installed. You need to make sure the cable you are using is suitable - some are not and won't work. The phone needs to be in fastboot mode - ADB can be a bit flakey on that device.
            As I said relocking the bootloader may brick your device, and I say may. It may not as well, but read round the forum s here and elsewhere and you will find out why.

              @MrT10001

              If I'm flashing it via android flash tool it will recognize the device but on that last step it won't be flashing it... I have attached a screenshot in the first message.

                For those who are still wondering about how to reinstall android after UT, here are some hints for you:

                1. Check the usb-c cable. They may differ very much. In my case I had 3 very good ones… one from Samsung and two from Realme which I have bought on ali. To my surprise only one of them worked properly. I have no idea why. However, all of them work great for datatransfer and charging on all devices.
                2. Install all 3 Android USB-drivers which are attached to the package archive like you can see on this image
                3. If you are flashing through Android Flash Tool and get stuck at the installation process with “In Process” pending forever you should unplug your device and press a power button to switch it to the fastboot mode then reconnect it on the chrome browser page and it should start working from then.
