      Hey guys,

After using the ubports tool to successfully 'port' install Ubuntu Touch on my Redmi Note 9 Pro, but later decided that the setup with libertine and all was quite a hassle for someone who is accustomed to a 'normal' linux configuration.

Anyhow, I decided that my use case would be better suited to Android. I installed OrangeFox Recovery with fastboot and used it to wipe all my partitions before installing a custom rom (LineageOS)

My phone is now bricked; I have tried to install several roms to no avail. Different custom roms appear to exhibit different behaviours:

      • LineageOS/PixelExperience - Never gets past Redmi splash screen before rebooting

      • CrDroid/MIUI - Displays the rom boot animation indefinitely

OrangeFox Recovery and any other tools I've tried have worked and haven't showed any error when formatting or add sideloading any roms.

What could be the reason for this, and what can I do to fix this?

Sorry if it's something obvious, I'm kinda a noob even when it comes to custom roms. Thank you!

@noob-gamr You should return to the stock ROM version that was installed before you installed UT. Follow the link here - it is the same one on the UT devices page, the version is the last version of Android 10 - V12.0.3.0.QJZMIXM - this being the Global fastboot version or you can use the recovery version (which requires the MiFlash tool and Windows PC).

Make sure you get the correct version for your phone - you have stated Redmi Note 9 pro so I am assuming you have that device which is codename "joyeuse" and I have pointed you to the Global version - yours may be different depending which part of the Globe you reside in.

DO NOT relock the bootloader as you have a really high chance of hard bricking the device, i.e no fastboot, no recovery.

To install UT to this device, the partitions required resizing. Reverting to stock may and I say MAY resolve this and allow you to install a ROM (UT is not a ROM) such as LineageOS.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.... And more...
        I have too many devices...
