Devices Webpage Update
Later today, following a lot of work by Capsia, the updated Ubuntu Touch devices webpage will go live. You can find all the details in the blog published earlier this year:

@UBportsNews I will be checking to see if the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 has been updated to show a Focal install.
-
@MrT10001 no, still 16.04
-
Has the person doing the port/maintainer requested that the change be made? The devices page can only be updated if people know about it.
-
@Lakotaubp @Danct12 and @erfanoabdi seem a bit quiet as they are the listed contributors which I cannot contact.
-
Beside that specific device, got the devices page already the update? For me it looks like before...
-
@Luksus It is up and running. Main change is the group/support level the 20.04 devices are listed under and what that means (as mentioned in the blog) for the user to expect. Also what happens if progress or maintenance of the devices changes or stops.

I'm not a designer .. but I have made a humble mock-up of the promoted devices pages to adapt the devices images to better match the compatibility of the "all devices part"
I also added the Volla tablet in the mix even if it is not yet in the list
(the image below is in low res below cause the forum refuse a bigger pic)So I have the corresponding gimp projects available with the most compatible devices (in very high res, so it can be reduced for all resolution needs)...
The project can be be edited further if needed, there is a separation between the screen, front frame and back of the devices + task bars.
Took me a long time to make it so if it can be of any use, I can provide the projects if Capsia or any ubports active team members find that useful ..
I just need how to share them efficientlyKind regards

@Lga That looks very nice!
There is just one thing I'm wondering about: for some devices, you're mentioning the model (Pixel 3a) and for others, the brand (Oneplus). Was this intentional? It might be better to mention a specific Oneplus model that is well supported.Then again, it's just a mockup.
Nicely done! -
@Moem,
thanx !
to answer your remark .. it is semi intentional ..Like you mention it is just a mockup ..
Also I have modified the original "official page",
.. but I'm in no position to decide which model should be shown on that page
.. I'm also not in position to change the official text so I made the minimal changesSome of the devices are community ported other are officially supported
the one plus Nord N100 is an example .. I don't know if the porter wants its port in front page or not ...
the pixel 3a was a defacto replacement for nexus 5 and it was publicly announced as 100% compatibleI also have models for "fairphone 4" and "Lenovo Tab M10 HD 2nd Gen" cause they have good compatibility
The idea is to provide the files for all models so - what to use - can be sorted out by persons in charge
