@riwid The device is in fastbootD when you execute the command on the PC?

If using Windows, put ./ in front of the command.

@MrT10001 Yes it is in fastbootd. I am using linux.

Got a bit scared that I bricked the device since Android didn't start after this. So I tried to install UT via the UBPorts installer. Worked but now I have the famous problem with wifi and bluetooth not working. If someone reads this and know the solution to the fix for X306X then please write.

Or before I try to make a manual installation again I wait until I hopefully get an answer to my previous question about the links in the readme for the device.

@riwid It looks like you weren't allowed access to format the userdata partition which means that fastbootd wasn't working or the bootloader is locked (unlikely and is why you use fastbootd to access critical partitions).

As you have UT installed on the tablet, try the manual install again and ensure you use the correct fastboot (fastboot binary version 30.0.0-6374843).

@MrT10001 Checked fastboot version and tried again but come to the same problem. I have unlocked the bootloader and that must have worked since I could install UT via Ubports installer.

Do I need to choose something in the gui when it is in fastbootd mode?

@riwid in fastboot mode, on the pc, type in fastboot getvar all Check and see what the userdata partition is called. It should be userdata or user_data.

@MrT10001 Ok. Here is the output I get about the userdata partition:

                  (bootloader) partition-size:userdata: d24cfbe00
                  (bootloader) partition-type:userdata: ext4

@riwid Thats good, the userdata is EXT4 and named correctly.

Try it without formatting and see what happens.

@riwid That's good news. Are all the functions (WiFi, cellular, camera etc) working?

@MrT10001 Everything except cellullar seems to be working. But the previous owner also had issues with that with Android so I guess the hardware is broken. Fine for me since I only use Wifi.

But another problem now is that it didn't update to the latest Ubuntu touch version 193. Instead it downgraded to version 65 when I tried to update it via the os. Now nothing happens when I confirm the update to version 193.
