Android 9 ROM for Lenovo TB-X606F
-
Hi guys, I'm trying to flash this UB port https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android9/lenovo-tab-m10-fhd-plus/lenovo-x606 on my Lenovo TB-X606F, but I cannot find an Android 9 ROM.
I tried all ROMS i could find suggested here, on XDA and on google, they either don't boot, or are already updated to Android 10.
One comment sugested this thread https://forums.ubports.com/topic/9959/guys-i-found-the-android-9-image but when I try to see it, it says my access is denied. Can anybody help me with an Android 9 rom for this tablet so I can flash Ub Touch on it?
Thanks!

@Dava Might not be worth doing this since the port is basically dead and stuck with xenial.

@kugiigi Well, I want it so I can work directly from the tablet instead of using remote desktop(Python apps and excel reports). So I don't mind if it's based on an older version as long as I can use python and full excel on it.

@Dava It's been a while since I flashed mine so I can't remember which version I used. I'm gonna check my files if I have it. If you have Windows, you can may try Lenovo's rescue app although that one is stupid now and requires an account

@Dava said in Android 9 ROM for Lenovo TB-X606F:

You might be able to use all your python apps if everything you need is installable via pip. (I am not sure all the repo's are still alive to be able to create a Xenial based Libertine Container)
You are aware that excel does not run on UT? You might be able to get LibreOffice Calc to run on your device, but that would depend also on Libertine still being a viable option.
In short, succeeding in installing UT on your device would not automatically mean you would be able to do what you are wanting to do on it.

@Dava I just did this a few days ago, I also had a hard time finding a ROM. I finally got one called "Lenovo_Tab_M10_FHD_Plus_TB-606F_MT6765_HW60_S100055_2001030016_V5.196_BMP_ROW.zip" that worked for me. I had to use spflash tool and cannot remember if I checked or unchecked the preloader, one worked for me while the other did not. I also had to use a tool called "mtk_bypass_rev3" to even be able to flash it with the spflashtool.
I got the ROM from a site called "addrom.com" I cannot say anything about that site or it's safety but it worked for me. If I am allowed to post links here is the download page, just scroll down to find the one I was talking about:
