Ubuntu Touch on OnePlus 6 – Concurrent Wi-Fi Client + Hotspot (Wi-Fi Repeater Mode) Support?

Hi all,

Does Ubuntu Touch on the OnePlus 6 (enchilada) support concurrent Wi-Fi client + hotspot mode?
In other words — can the phone connect to an existing Wi-Fi network and at the same time share that same network over its hotspot (acting like a Wi-Fi repeater)?

If it’s not currently possible, is the limitation due to hardware, drivers, or missing implementation in Ubuntu Touch?
Any known workarounds would also be appreciated.

I cannot be sure about your specific device.
But phones are usually only able to be either an access point or a client, but rarely both.

As for Ubuntu Touch being able to handle this case on such compatible hardware, I'm not sure.
That would be something to test.
