Update port for Ubuntu Touch 20.04 on Xiaomi Mi 6
-
@Moem This user is the OP of this thread and is updating the 16.04 port to 20.04.
(I elect to attribute the somewhat condescending tone of their last post to be an artifact of translation)

@arubislander Sure! It was a genuine suggestion from my end. If anyone has ideas on how to optimize the Ubuntu Touch system better (even though I'm not completely sure what that means) their help in that could very well be useful.

As a mature and great community, these should not be overly restricted.

As a mature and comprehensive human, you'll easily understand that we need to talk the same language in order to keep the forum clear and easy to read, and to search on.
As a mature and comprehensive human, you should understand that we, all non english native speaking persons, are making the effort to communicate in the chosen language for us to talk each other, because it is one (simple) rule here to follow.
I really would prefer to speak french anywhere, anytime, but hey, as a comprehensive and mature adult I know that we can't always do whatever we want

Sorry for popping out of nowhere, but @kuailexs kudos for the Volte initiation! hope this becomes a trigger for rest of the devices.
-
@hisacro There is no new progress at present. The current ofonod process will crash.
Error: Segment fault

@Keneda
I apologize for what I said before。I will try to use translation software to complete basic communication。

For VoLTE.
I learned from the Sailfish OS porter that the previous VoLTE plug-in for Sailfish OS was used in conjunction with the modem configuration tool.
The name in the Sailfish OS library is
modem_auto_config
.Maybe we need to do that, too.
It has been confirmed on the Xiaomi 6 that volte registration has no strong correlation with modem_auto_config

On the Xiaomi 6, the ofono-binder-Plugin software package must be in a lower version (1.1.15). The latest version will cause the ofono process to crash。
The specific reason for the crash of the ofono process has not been found yet
