        Hi,

Is it possible to boot Ubuntu Touch by placing rootfs.img at /data/ubuntu.img, if the userdata partition is encrypted? Or is flashing to the system partition my only option?

The porting guide does mention both options, but doesn't say anything about encryption specifically.

        Thanks in advance!

@glowingscrwdrvr if encryption has been set up (presumably by Android?) for subdirectories only, then this should work. File-based encryption (ext4 & f2fs) works on a per-directory basis. But I would first confirm that this is the case.
