@E-Z-Tux All is not lost. You need to charge the device up. Put it on charge for a day. If it fails to boot after that then you can use the Lenovo Software Fix Tool to recover Android to the device (requires a Windows PC).

@MrT10001 Thank you, I will try the Lenovo fixer upper on my wife's laptop tomorrow.
-
@MrT10001 It did not work, the tool needs the tablet to be turned on and allow USB debugging.
I downloaded the service manual, and will do open heart CPU surgery later on... -
@E-Z-Tux You don't need to have USB debugging enabled. If you have the serial number of the device (sticker on back of tablet or on box) you can recover to Android.
-
@MrT10001 Thanks, that's what I tried first but the tool needs the tablet to be turned on, and It just don't do it.
I might just end up with all spare parts for my working same model tablet.
Again, thank you for taking the time to reply, etc... -
@E-Z-Tux You don't need to power up the device. You log in to the software fix tool with a Lenovo account or a Google account. Select Tablets. Select use the serial number to recover. Enter the serial number of the device. Download the ROM. Ensure the tablet is powered off. Follow the onscreen instructions to recover the device, which involves holding volume up and volume down and plugging in the USB cable plugged into the PC when told to do so. Then leave the device alone till it reboots.

@E-Z-Tux idk the chip manufacturer for this tablet but research this:
if Mediatek: bootrom bypass & sp flash tool
if Qualcomm: EDL mode & Download tool -
@ChromiumOS-Guy Thanks, I will try this later as I have many other things to do.
The Lenovo fix tool needs the tablet to be turned on, and it just refuses to turn on.
Those other tools seem to be able to turn it on AFTER connecting the USB cable.
It is not urgent as I have the twin sister tablet running UT smoothly.
Also my Toshiba Ideapad can morph into a tablet and is running Debian 13 like my Tower. -
