VPNs don't help at all!

Re: Mirrors for users in Russia
I tried three different VPN services (that are otherwise fine and working) while launching UBports installer. The result is inevitably the same - NO DOWNLOAD TRAFFIC at all! The network monitor shows nothing at all in terms of the receiving any data, although the UBports installer shows that the "file" is being downloaded.
The curious detail: at the very beginning, after choosing the operating system to install and hitting the final button to start installation process, for a very brief moment indicator of download speed appears showing something like "0,03 Mbs" speed of download.:))))
The impression is that Ubuntu Touch repository servers are simply unavailable for users in Russia. -
@shcarl276 @moem or someone knowing: are these connection issues known to the foundation or to someone in ubports who is capable of looking for a solution? It was spoken about in the last q&a, but my impression was that the devs themselves cannot do much about it...

@messayisto It's not the matter of the devs not being ABLE to do something. Since this is non-profit project (you don't have to pay to install Ubuntu Touch), they are not really compelled, are they? :)))) Otherwise there would be a proper Support service using some other ways of communication and NOT JUST TELEGRAM!!! :))))

I can bring them to the table in the next Board of Trustees meeting.

Sorry, but I disagree. This is not on the dev's plate.
