Radio app that uses Headphones as antenna

One thing I miss is a radio app that doesn't use the internet (uses the radio antenna).
I know there's a bunch for android. Is it possible to port one? -
Currently radio functionality is somehow not exposed to any App I think. Mainly because on Ubuntu desktop such thing does not exist (IMHO) and additionally I do not know if libhybris can even translate calls to the radio drivers.

@flohack I think the challenge starts even lower. Which phones do actually have an fm radio, have the antenna hooked up, kernel has a working driver? And then we get to the libhybris and app questions.

Anyway in a few years from now FM radio is dead, and replaced by DAB. So maybe its not even worth thinking

I don't think that's happening in the US, @Flohack.
I don't believe any of our current devices have an FM radio. So, even if the OS supported it, there would be no way to take advantage of it. Maybe we revisit when we have ported devices with a radio?

FWIW, I remembered now a report of some specific bootmode ("factory"? or maybe it's just normal recovery) on some (one?) of the BQ devices that spoke about some kind of hardware test facilities that DID play fm radio:

@doniks I tried with my BQ E4.5 in Factory Mode and it reveals 3 fixed FM Stations: 88 MHz, 98,7 MHz and 108 MHz. I could listen to them. So for the BQ E4.5 on the hardware side everything is there, what is missing is a App/Software.
