To save your battery and power, if you are not using the tablet put it in flight mode.
Simple solution, but I get 5 days out of mine before a charge. When I use it, switch off flight mode then switch it back on when done.
My tablet hanging over my desk is my main use one and is on the power cable most of the time. Useful for incoming email as it shows them quicker than on my phone and PC.
