Hello, I'm trying to install Ubuntu Touch on Fairphone 5 via ubiports but I get an error
Fairphone OS (Android 13) is installed on the phone
          Version: FP5.TT4H.A.162

installing postmarketOS via ubiports works without any problems
I saw information that you are using LineageOS but on the site the minimum version is 21.0 and there (Android 14)
I would be grateful for your help

            Hi @iHgiBigyM

I had this issue last week, but this should be fixed by now.
Did you keep the "partitioning" box ticked?

Also are you trying to install Noble or Focal?

I had this issue trying to install Noble, Focal should be fine.
Also you can check the logs as explained in the error message to better understand what happens.

Hello, thank you for the answer,I solved the problem by running ubiport from Linux, under Windows there is a constant error (I use Windows 11)

Hi. Sorry just found out that i was tagged in a message. I did not get an email from the forum or something. I don’t check messages on other pages really. If someone wants to message me quicker just send an E-Mail or open a GitHub issue on my Repository for the website. πŸ™‚

Seems like the issue was already solved.

                Sorry again for now answering.

Can we get an update on this regarding the newer Noble release by chance?

I don't have the same findings as yourself.
I think it's at the point were I'm not sure how useful a long list of "working" things is.
There are things that seem to work but break or have regressions between the quick update cycles.

GPS is fine, it takes a very long time with the screen on to get your first fix. If you use the GPS from then daily (I've had the weather app set to detect location), GPS is relatively quick to fix.

Camera you occasionally get a black screen and have to flip between front and rear camera in the app.

I can't get any USB DAC to work to far. I'm using bluetooth headset for now.

Libertine will not install due to libc6 mentioned in another recent thread.

Convergence (Desktop) mode is very clunky to switch between and has slight issues but "works"

No issues with vibration what so ever, in fact I'm very happy with it.

I'm not sure works as a stopgap is fair. It's not perfect and I feel UT as a whole is lacking some QOL features but totally useable for a Devel branch device. I have no requirement for a backup device.
I'm hopeful Noble will iron most of the above out anyway.

@sixwheeledbeast What you are describing is the same as I have.

                        • GPS: I still need to test (for you it works).
                        • Camera Glitchyness could be happening, did not have that myself.
                        • USB Dac and similar stuff can be tricky even on Android. For me it works better in UB-Touch then Android.
                        • Desktop mode / USB Video is clunky and/or broken depending on the Hardware used.
                        • Vibration and Notification is more about Waydroid then the os (It is part of a sublist in the waydroid row).
                        • The Libertine issues is FP5 unrelated.

Waydroid and Vibration, Notifications passthrough and GPS are know limitation or issues. I just noted them down so if I check back on my own website later to check if something changed its working state i can know for sure.
This list is just a copy of my website entry and you are right, a redundant list of "working" in the forums is no longer needed at this stage. Someone here asked for an updated and I was testing at the moment anyway so I just updated the first entry in this topic by copying my personal list to it.

Calling waydroid a stopgap is a little hard that's right... I just use it that way on my phone. It is great and makes Ubuntu Touch extremely powerful in software compatibility but is mostly used to fill in for apps that are not ported or supported by the makers of the apps. On platform's like PCs it is more used as a "emulation" tool.
