Hello, I have forgotten my root/sudo password for my Ubuntu Touch Xperia X. I would like to create a new root/sudo account and delete the old one. I don't care about the data. I would like to avoid a complete reinstall of the system.

@xpeer You can boot to recovery, pull
/home/phabletusing adb, and reflash (with erase).
Try searching on the forums for backup methods to see how to adb pull -
