        Re: UPDATED USA: T-Mobile (and MVNO) settings for a fully functional UT device

        I recently purchased a google pixel 3a xl and really want to use it as my daily driver. I initially had issues with the apn settings but found the post above and set my settings to the t-mobile configuration. I now have data, messaging, and out-going calls working fine. (although there is a huge delay before actually connecting to the number) My issue now is, I can not get incoming calls to work. But strangely enough, the call will successfully go to my voice mail. Does anyone have any experience with this same set up, and maybe be willing to help me figure out the issue? I am using OTA5 stable.

          @steveoeng1 I fear that it is due to Ubuntu Touch because the OS does not yet have a VoLte connection. Without precise information, nothing more can be done. I only found this from a Google search. In the USA, the 3G network is partially switched off, so calls are only made via 4G or, if available, via 2G. You should try testing the SIM in an Android or iOS device.Or install Android or a free OS again. This is definitely also the reason why calls go straight to voicemail. Or try redirecting calls to another number that has reception. Ubuntu Touch is still a construction site!

            @steveoeng1 Hello,

            Currently, since there is no VoLTE support yet, calls cannot be received while on 4G. Calls can only be received on 2G. Why you are seeing a delay when calling out is that you may be on 4G. When on 4G and attempting to make a call, it appears that the phone is switching from 4G to 2G manually. I also have a Pixel 3a XL, and it appears that these issues will continue until VoLTE support is added to UT on the Pixel 3a XL. Though, I am pretty sure VoLTE support for more devices is coming very soon

              Thank you both for your input. I now see that there is an article on this topic. I didn't know that was the issue before, so thank you for the enlightenment. I really want this to succeed so I will just need to get up to speed a lot quicker on helping support the development. Maybe there is something I can help with on this in the near future.
