I installed Ubuntu Touch a long time ago and play with it sometimes. When I check for updates, it says "Software is up to date". The OS is Ubuntu 20.04 (2022-W51). It also says Last Updated 1/11/70. Could someone tell me how to update to the latest build? Thanks.

@Frank_A Two ways really. Go to software update and in the top corner there is a cog, press that and change channel from something to something else, for example if you are on developer channel change to stable. The other way to do it is to run it through the installer again leaving the wipe data box unticked. Always back up any data beforehand.

@MrT10001 When I click on the cog and select channels, there are no channels listed to get updates from. I tried using the UBports Installer (0.10.0). It did not see my device, so I selected it manually, leaving the wipe data box unticked. It would still not see my device. It just says Waiting for device.... My computer sees the device, but the installer does not. How do I reboot to bootloader? Is there a way to put the device in fastboot mode with it not being android?

@Frank_A Power it off, then when restarting hold down the power button and volume up button until it boots to the bootloader menu then release and go from there.

@Lakotaubp Holding the power button and volume up button, the device boots into Ubuntu Touch. Holding the power button and volume down button, the device does not boot.

@Frank_A press and hold the volume up button and then press the power button until the device starts.

If that fails, press and hold the volume up button and plug it into a power source.

In both cases the device must be off.

If it keeps booting into UT, in UT go into settings about device, developer options and plug it into a pc with fastboot and ADB installed, accept the prompt when it appears, then in your fastboot folder on the pc, open a terminal and do ADB reboot bootloader from there.

@MrT10001 Success! I had to Erase & Reset All. Once it rebooted and went through the set up, the software update was available. I am now on 20.04 (2024-W47). I hated to start from scratch, but at least it works now. Thanks so much for your help!
