dekko2 stack on validating credentials
-
Hi,
I am owner of a Xiaomi 9 pro.
After 6 month of use, the phone stopped using data from my sim card, so, I reset all user data, that didn't help and finally reinstall ubuntu touch.
Now, I am setting up everything from the beginning.
dekko2 refuse to add my email accounts, stack on validating credentials.
I go through some articles about it, but the earliest is 2 years ago AND I can NOT find any of the config, log files/folders. They just not there any more!!!!!!!!!!!
I am trying both yahoo and IMAP accounts without any luck.
Can somebody help me?
At least where can I find the log files?
Thanks

AlexYou can use UT Tweak tool, https://open-store.io/app/ut-tweak-tool.sverzegnassi
then from the menu-> applications->choose dekko->Erase all, you might have to reinstall Dekko afterward
Hope that helps -
@lduboeuf already done that

Do you use the latest Dekko 0.5.0 under UT 20.04? Then I do have the same issue reported here.
Dekko 0.5.0 is working fine for me under noble, but doesn't work under focal. My temporary solution is to use an older version of Dekko because I don't want to reinstall my daily phone now. -
@kristatos
Dekko version is 0.5.0
and UT 20.04 (r296) -
@smobilesoft Then go to the openstore website and download the older 0.4.1 version of dekko and try it with that. This works for me.
And please report back, if this works for you, too. Then I can fill a bugreport against dekko. -
@kristatos
It worked!!!!!
0.4.1 did it.
I had to synchronize 3 email accounts and the 0.4.1 version wont let me add an account, UNLESS you click add another account when you finish adding the first one.
yeah...... I had to uninstall and install it back.
The first time that I install 0.4.1, after finished installing the first account and realize that I cannot add another, then I tried 0.5.0 update over it and it seems that it worked. But I had a yahoo account issue, so I install 0.4.1, thinking that it will solve my problem.
So, I started all over, synch 3 accounts and now I upgrade to 0.5.0 and it seems that it is working fine. I can even add a new account.
I hope it helped. If you need more info I am at your service
