        Hello everyone,

My device has all the updates from UT 20.04 and now is running the UT 24.04.

Yesterday I installed the YouTube app from the Open Store.
This morning I paused a video and when I wanted to watch it, the display begun to flicker very bad. I uninstalled the YT app and restarted, but the flickering is still there.

I don't know if this is a soft- or a hardware problem. Is there a way to find out if the display is good or has to be replaced?

        Thanks for your time.

        Gabriel

@Gabriel.de Not seen this issue. However if you are using a screen intensive app like YouTube, stopping the app and rebooting may help.

@MrT10001 Thank you for your quick message.
Assuming that you have installed the YouTube app from the Open Store on a Lenovo Tab M 10 X306F (X) and you didn't encountered this issue ,then the conclusion is that the display for my tablet has to be replaced.

However, before doing this I wish to check the GPU and the display health. Is there any chance to know how to do this in UT?

Or maybe by uninstalling the app there are some orphaned settings leftover. Would reinstalling UT be helpful?

            Thanks for your time.

@Gabriel.de Run YouTube for as long as you can or carry out some other screen intensive operation. This will heat the GPU/CPU and screen and may through up an issue. If it happens within 5 minutes, your hardware may be at fault. If it the issue takes a long while to manifest, it can be normal for the aging device. The battery can also affect this if it is weak or failing. The screen is usually the first part along with power button to be damaged through misuse, but is usually the last item to fail through normal use.
