        Hello, UBports forum!
        I have a question about UT port for my Redmi 9C. This device is not supported, however i managed to download a flashable file for redmi 9c from gitlab. But when I was checking out the instructions on how to install it, I don't have a dtbo.img on that flashable file. I'm very confused, is this important or not? I'm grateful for any help;)

          @viko Happy New Year!
          The dtbo.img contains part of the device tree, and as such it is important. However, during porting it is often not necessary to change that information, and in those cases the file is not provided. If the file is not in the artifacts downloaded from GitLab, then most likely it is not needed.
          (Disclaimer: that is my experience from my own port.)
          Do you look at generic install instructions, or instructions specific to the port?

            @k.nacke Happy New Year to you too! I was looking instructions on how to install Ubuntu Touch on redmi 9c, but i skipped dtbo and its just stuck at redmi logo, i skipped dtbo because it wasnt provided in artifacts + it wasnt built according to job logs because it couldnt find the matching directory for it. Thank you for your answer, I hope you have a great day!

              @viko As has been said, dtbo.img is generally not needed. If the port doesn't boot, the issue is more like due to other reasons. Feel free to check the porting docs I linked you in Telegram.
