Altering the location of Cached files
-
Using Windows 11 and the Windows.exe installer where in the config. can I alter the location of where the installer downloads the files too.
With Windows being such a resource hog, I use a small drive in this day and age and wherever anything is downloaded, it goes to a large storage drive which backs up to an offline drive and home-brew (OpenMediaVault) NAS. I found myself running out of space, the Windows drive is 512Gb (small these days) and found the culprit to be mainly Lenovo Software fix and the UT installer. Backing up the files resolved the space issue, but I don't want to keep having to download them again to flash a device (in one case it took 30 minutes downloading for the TB-X306F and that was not my end).
So any help on how I can point to a larger drive to pick up the files?
(And I ask as I went through the installer config and also the source code to see if that gave me any ideas).

I don't quite remember what the installer did when I flashed my phone (happy memories... not
) but from browsing v2/checkDownloads.ts I'd say that the installer is saving stuff in a sub-directory called 'download' from the current directory when it was launched.
