@brenno.almeida There is also this heart that appeares now when the other person reacted to my text (circled in red) - so I can see now their reaction:

        A new Alpha is out:

        Download here: https://git.brennoflavio.com.br/brennoflavio/greenline/releases
        Github mirror: https://github.com/brennoflavio/greenline/releases

        Changelog:

        • Render and allow saving contact array messages (the ones when you send 2 or more contacts in the same message)
        • Allow sending reactions. Open the reaction page and you'll see reaction emojis in the bottom
        • Allow archiving chats locally, so they don't appear in the main page
        • Render unsupported messages, so you know they arrived. In terms of message support, there's no plans to support further message types, most of the remaining ones are business oriented and very specific like pools and broadcast messages.
        • Add infrastructure to support translations

        Progress torwards beta: https://git.brennoflavio.com.br/brennoflavio/greenline/milestone/1

            I have a small nitpick feedback 😛

Using the send button to send a message doesn't really feel good. The message just kinda goes and i find myself pressing the send button often because I have the idea that it either doesnt send immediately or sends with a delay. Also no feedback when something is being sent.

other than that, it works great!

Hi, I find the app really useful, specially due to the daemon. I would really love video call functionallity. Is there any chance it will be added soonish?
It's really the only thing keeping me on Waydroid's Whatsapp app at the moment.
Thank you so much for working on this, keep it up!

@777x you mean that there's some delay between pressing the button and the message to appear in the list? What is your device?

@perrete not anytime soon, there's limitations on both Whatsapp and the projects this app depends on to make calls possible

Hi all. Announcing that this app is now in Beta. My goal is to release to the store by end of next week, fixing the maximum amount of bugs possible until there.

Please, help me catch remaining bugs and misbehavior by downloading and using the latest version bellow, reporting here anything you'll find. Once in the store, will be slow to fix bugs, so now its the time to get the app in a good shape.

                    Latest release: https://git.brennoflavio.com.br/brennoflavio/greenline/releases/tag/v1.0.0-rc2
                    Translate this app: https://hosted.weblate.org/projects/ubports/greenline/

                    Changelog:

                    • Translations to many languages, thanks to the translators
                    • Fix scrolling a chat up make it lose its position and glitch
                    • Prepare pipeline for final release
                    • Make chat list page refresh incremental, more performant, don't lose position when receiving messages
                    • Many small performance enhancements across the board, app should feel faster
                    • Avatars now use the lomiri shape, rendering with less resources
                    • Fix a bug where receiving messages made the avatar to stop showing
                    • Speed up first historical sync, up to 10x faster on my tests
                    • Faster parsing of events, by decoupling chats from chat metadata like avatars and descriptions
                    • Remove support to send mute status to whatsapp, too unreliable
                    • Hide self chat
                    • Improve chat rendering performance by caching rich texts, and not use rich render for simpler texts
                    • Fix mentions not being clickable
                    • Fix some texts bubbles not having the correct size
                    • Better rich rendering of lists

                      Hello.
                      I give it a try.
I haven't been able to connect with QR Code (not shown in the app) (but well with phone number).
UT 24.04-2.x daily from 08/06/2026 as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has been excluded from updates.

@Vlad-Nirky Can you send logs using the LogViewer app (or equivalent) from the service greenline.service? Should tell why the daemon could not generate a new qr code for you.
