Unable to add PPA
-
I'm trying to add a third-party PPA to a Libertine container (24.04), but running into the error:
Error: must run as rootwhen I use
libertine-container-manager -i noble -a add -n ppa:<...>. Using the Libertine settings UI fails silently (I assume the underlying error is the same).
Going directly into a fakeroot shell doesn't work because of the nature of the container, I can't calladd-apt-repositoryfrom inside it. -
The issue was me not having a screen lock passcode defined.
Not sure if this is the best way to approach this, a settings page for editing user information (including name and root password) would be useful, that one could then opt out for the screenlock.
