@izd Here's the bug -list we found on #ubuntu-offtopic

Also here: at No. 78th https://errors.ubuntu.com/
Good Luck dudes !

@below-freezing Great links !!!
Thanks you mate :-)) -
I have installed ubuntu touch on my Nexus 5 since the Ubuntu 2 released. I have updated Ubuntu from 11 to 12 from the stable branch.
Everytime I can see improvement (more apps, less buggy) but it is still not daily usable for me. First, the browser and all webapp (wordreference, Qwant, DuckduckGo...) aren't working (same as described in the first post here, it launches and quits). Second, caldav and carddav are still very difficult to use (very unfriendly).
So, for now, I'll keep using Firefox OS.
I'll keep watching progress as we can read some hope here and there : https://opensourceforu.com/2017/01/ubuntu-touch-gets-full-compatibility-nexus-5/ -
Of the Ubports channels for N5 devel_rc-proposed is definitely the better choice at this point in time.
-
@Thatoo Thanks for the link. Sound promising, as M. Gripsgard also mentions...:

As said at https://opensourceforu.com/2017/01/ubuntu-touch-gets-full-compatibility-nexus-5/ : "And for Nexus 5 that's now a fully working device, I even use it as my daily driver at the moment :)"
Really ? There is a fully usable build now ?
See You ;-))

I've tried the 217 on devel_rc-proposed, and almost everything works fine (just one restart) except that I can't receive phone call (which is a problem for a phone :-).
I have a feeling that soon, we'll be able to switch (me from Firefox OS) to Ubuntu touch. -
:-))

New builds !!!!
/ubuntu-touch/devel_stable/hammerhead ==> Version 14 (OTA-14 ?)
/ubuntu-touch/devel_rc-proposed/hammerhead ==> Version 219Someone tested it ?
-
Not yet. I will try the 219 this week end then and let you know.
-
So impatient, I flash the /ubuntu-touch/devel_stable/hammerhead
Everything seems to work but...
Incoming call don't work but calls are ok
Lost of wifi on reboot but works
Date & Time set to 01/01/1970 on bootWeb Browser works fine & quickly !!!
sms works (mms not tested)
uNav works after install but no signal (Maybe because I'm indoor)It smell good Folks :--))
-
I just try too the /ubuntu-touch/devel_rc-proposed/hammerhead build
Unfortunately, everything's fine like the /devel_stable/ build but incoming calls still don't works... -
Build 220 - dev-rc-proposed, what didn't working:
- encrypted wifi
- if you touch something from webbrowser UI like "back button" or you decidet to add more tabs, it freezes.
- battery lvl didn't work properly
- after reboot (it works fine! Even the shutting down) clock and data sets to 1970 etc.
- Nobody can call to me
- music player - distorts the signal from the speaker at the higher volume lvl
- sometimes I need to push power on button many times to unlock device
- ugly camera quality
System is stable, after three days of use it does not hang even once.
Sorry for my english, greetings from Poland!
-
thank you for that feedback
-
I've got one more bug. I don't have internet via 3g/4g and I can't get to 3g/4g connection type in system settings.
Edit:
After reeboot sytem forgets wifi connection
-
I've installed 221. I can't see any changement with problems that Tomacaster had with 220.
-
Youpi !!!
As you can see, after the announcement of Cannonical to stop everything until the advent of Snap, no more dev on repo...
Cool ! For sure, This will help us to trust all projects around UB !
!!! THANKS YOU ALL !!! -
Good news everyone!
Browser works!
Battery lvl seems to be fine!
You can call me now!
Music sounds great!
Not sure, but camera doin' a bit better pics!Still forgets wifi, time.
Funny thing. I managed to connect to the encrypted network after reboot with plane mode, but after next reboot encryption didn't work.
There is a big progress but some cases need to be solved! Anyway im happy

That's great to hear! I'll have to give dev-rc-proposed a try. Thanks!
