If you already know please list Country/Carrier/Phone Model and specifics.

I personally am asking about the US Market with a Ubuntu Ported Nexus 5 that was on T-Mobile

        #Phone #Carrier #Service

I use Straight Talk in TN USA. Get a sim card in walmart.
Usually 3 in a pack, at&t,tmobile. Etc. All sizes in there.
Freedom pop, not good,40 minute for a text to go 2 miles

@marathon2422 I can confirm that h2o Wireless works on the Ubuntu Nexus 5 port. It was easy to manually configure via Apn settings. This model is an ATT /Tmobile model me thinks. I will try tonight with Metro PCS using the same phone.

@marathon2422 How did you get Freedompop to work? Did you have to download anything or did you manually config?

                    Straight talk $45.00
                    10g data
You can go up from that,( unlimited ) 60g,then they slow it down.
                    Good luck

My wife has been using Ting since it was an "Ubuntu" phone. She has had a Nexus 4 and a Nexus 5 with no problems at all. Since the sim card is activated online, it doesn't seem to care about the phone and OS. For the first month I turned off data at the Ting dashboard to force wi-fi connecting at all normally visited locations. Since she is mostly text and talk she decided not to turn it on unless absolutely necessary and rarely goes over $23/mo. (USA / Central OH)

Freedompop activates on line BUT BUT BUT, i do not know how it would work on UBports.
I have a Pro 5,it did not work on it, But it worked on Flyme on Pro 5

This is why its not UB. Compatible
It uses its own messaging app,and receives, text and calls on that, and you need to use that to make out going calls, a total pain in the ass.
some android phones it will work on the installed phone app, but which ones. I don't know.
If you do use it, be careful what you click on or hover your finger over, once it has your credit card details
Don't ask me how i know that.

@marathon2422 That's the same thing I was thinking. I have used Freedompop for over 5 years and getting FP on a Ubuntu Phone is pretty impressive seeing that they use their own messaging app. Impressive

So I got the phone to work on Metro PCS - Lte, however Only works so far for calling and texting. Was not able to successfully get Data in and out but will keep trying.
