@guru Try going to the dev channel updating then see what happens if you've not done that.

This device is my daily driver for calls, tg and Internet (hotspot). I think, I should not risk this procedure.

Hi
well the OTA 5 is still not available, so i switch to dev channel, update twice to finally have the version 192. And i switch back to stable channel ... so a "new" version is avalaible ... but it's version 3 and not 5! I don't want to come back to 3. If i switch to Candidate channel, i have the version 17 proposed, but i don't know if it's the candidate for OTA 5 or OTA 4. So i finally guess that OTA 5 is still not available for me ...
Can it be device or country related? i have a pro5 and i'm in France ..

@aenima quick check if the only browser you have is Morph browser you have ota 5. Once you have OTA-5 younshould only get stable, RC and dev versions of OTA-5

that doesn't help me ... why i have a version 192 ? It's the only number i have concerning the version of ubunut touch. If i go in About section, i see that i'm on 16.04, but no other versionning ... In fact it doesn't matter for me the versionning of dev channel, i just want to come back to stable channel in OTA 5.
The only browser i have now is Morph browser, so i'm on OTA 5 with dev channel. And if i switch to stable channel, it proposes me the version 3, but it was the number i had when i was on OTA 3 (which makes sense here ...). So does it mean that in stable channel it wants me to go back to OTA3 or not?
I begin to regret to have switch to dev ...

@aenima If you swop to stable you will get 16.04 with ota-5 stable version. The number are the version numbers for that channel. Dev channel is,updated everyday so has a higher number, stable the lowest, rc in between. If you read the thread in the above links this will be explined and why itneeds clearing up.

ok i did the update to version 3 and i'm still with OTA 5, but in stable channel now.
i hope it will be clearer in the futureThanks for your help.

@aenima Glad it's sorted

@lakotaubp I'm on the dev channel - v. 654 this morning - but I think that's still OTA-4 too. At least, I've had nothing suggesting that it's OTA-5...
-
@3arn0wl Only having Morph browser is the main one and the new community sounds and backgrounds are others.

@3arn0wl Have fun. New sounds ! New backgrounds and the small thing to do with development bounding forward ; )

If you are still on 15.04 (OTA-3) and are waiting for OTA-5 it should all be completed later on today.

Should it say '15.04 OTA-3' ? Mine says '15.04 (r3)'. There is so much confusion with all the release numbers/strings...

@guru sorry forgot to put brackets round the Ota-3 bit will edit now. Have a read of this https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1822/semantic-versioning-for-ut/6 for future plans/options.
-
@lakotaubp but mine is (r3) and not (OTA-3) or (rc3), and IIRC I flashed this in December 2017 and not got as OTA
-
@guru Its the same thing in effect. OTA-4 was the first move to 16.04 if you wanted to do that or you could stop on 15.04 and you also needed the installer in some instances. OTA-5 is just over the air, and will be completed today for those still on 15.04.

Can you please change "today" by a time in GMT or CEST? Thanks

@guru No not at present if have an exact time I will get back to you. The time will depend on which order the devices still on 15.04 are pushed to. I can only suggest you could try updating to the dev channel.on 15.04 which should give you the option to update to 16.04 dev, which would be the equivalent of ota-5. You can then change to the stable or rc channel if you wish.
