Has anyone successfully connected the BQ E4.5 (running ubports ota-5) to a monitor with hdmi? I've trawled the forum but cannot seem to find an instance that specifically answers this question.

Closest I got was this thread https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1819/howto-convergence-nexus5/6 which has led me to suspect that if connection is possible, then the type of cable is important; it must be slimport.

I've tried a couple of adapters so far. First one turned out to be a mini hdmi to hdmi adapter and did not fit E4.5. I did find that it worked for the M10 tablet though in the port next to the charging port. Second one was micro usb to hdmi adapter with MHL logo on it. The plug fits the phone, but monitor does not work with it.https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07C4JPY3P/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I don't want to gamble on a slightly more expensive slimport adapter to find that doesn't work either!

The BQ E models do not have the hardware support for external display, only Nexus 5 (cable), Pro 5 (wireless) & FP2 (wireless) afaik
