@UBportsNews Wayne, "vigilante" is an italian word
it is used to name a security guard who is for instance in charge of watching out nightly for a bank or other activity.
Nice episode as usual by the way!Matteo
-
@matteo it's a Spanish word too and, as you know, it comes from Latin (vigΔlans, -antis)

Anyway, 'vigilante' has a broader meaning these days (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vigilante)
-
@advocatux yes, it is definitely a latin word, italian and spanish share the same root so no wonder

-
@matteo @advocatux Thanks for the info. Knowing is half the battle!
Thanks for listening as always.
Do you think UT is a "vigilante" in the OS world?
-
@joe of course I think it is a "vigilante" against an unfair world...I also think our beloved OS to be the last happy (and small, veeeery small) island in terms of privacy and freedom. The best I love of it is that it's community driven so we decide how to shape it and every contribution in every different field is not only welcome but really matters

-
@matteo I can picture Yumi as an Avenger Vigilante
