Nexus 5 No earpiece sound
-
Hey, so i flashed my Nexus 5 with Ubuntu touch from this site, well...everything works fine, BUT there is no sound coming from the earpiece when reciving calls or making calls, it might be a problem with the app it self, but the sound works when i switched back to stock Android, anyone with a solution or have tips? want to use Ubuntu over Android on my Nexus 5 and this problem is quite a deal breaker..

That's really odd... I too have a Nexus 5, but have no sound issues at all...
Does the volume indicator suggest that there ought to be sound when you increase the volume level?
There's also sound controls in System Settings.
It's not on Mute is it???

@3arn0wl hello! well, the sound indicator is full, ive tried to lower it and max it when im in a test call, still no sound, with headphones the sounds works, but the earpiece dont, really strange...ive checked the settings aswell, everything seems to be correct, mute is not on, yee..soo, i might have to reinstall Touch, myabe that fixes it, i really dont know...really wierd..

Wait a little while before you reflash - there will undoubtedly be someone coming along who will have a better idea of things than me!
-
@3arn0wl i guess so, its a wierd "problem" tho, it might ujust be something stupidly easy aswell.
I will wait a few hours with the reflash, i really wanna use Touch instead of stock android... thanks for your info input anyways!

I hear ya. (sorry)
I just love UT!
-
@3arn0wl yeee it´s really nice, for us "Linux lovers" its quite the dream come true, if you have an supported devices so to say, if Touch were supported on every Android device i would with no doubt run it on every device ive got!

Hi. When you say "earpiece" here, do you mean a bluetooth headset? Or do you mean the speaker on the phone above the screen?
-
@dobey The earpiece over The screen
-
@dobey it works with headphones, not with the built in speaker
-
will try a reflash and then doublecheck the settings for the sound, it might be something easy. anywasy, IF you guys and gals can come up with a fix or an explanation that would be great! thanks!

Reflashed Ubuntu, test called, no issues, the issue has been resolved by a reflash.

So pleased to read that you're all sorted, @NexionTech
