Meizu pro 5 mobile settings are quite frequently reverting to 2G(saves battery) when i'm out and about , if i go into settings and change it to 4G it will start working on 4G, H etc straight away ,it doesn't seem to want to change automatically.

Has anyone else come across this issue ??

Yes, or at least similar. I haven't flashed my Pro 5 to UBports yet, but the behavior on the Canonical image is similar. Every reboot resets cellular to 2G only. I have to manually set it to 4G. Also toggling airplane mode on/off a few times can trigger the problem.

for me the solution i found was to have 2 sim cards in there. Once you reboot it always stays 4g never reverting back. It doesnt matter if the sims cards are active or not
