Nextcloud / Ownloud on Nexus 5

I've just this last week purchased a Nexus 5 (hammerhead) and flashed UBports to it, but unfortunately it refuses to let me add my Nextcloud account in the Online Accounts. It always returns back with "Invalid Host URL".
I have a BQ E5 with OTA 15 that is working just just fine with my Nextcloud account as well as other devices, so I know that my server accepting connections OK.
In addition I am also unable to get syncevolution to work for my contacts. Are these known issues with the Nexus 5? I would love to have this phone as my daily driver, it feels far more polished than the BQ.

Hi, probably this is not related to your phone hardware, as this is an application problem. We got a similar ticket here: https://github.com/ubports/webbrowser-component/issues/2 - m,aybe owncloud & nextcloud share this problem, as they are related projects?
We got a nextcloud instance for internal stuff, so let me try to reproduce the thing. But please lets switch over to Github for tracking this bug. Thanks!

with my nexus 5, i can access to my nextcloud and also synchronize my contacts.
Your issue is coming from somewhere else, not the hardward. -

I'm getting the same Invalid URL message when I try to set up an account on my Nexus 5. I've never been able to get Nexcloud working, so I was assuming it was my error... I was using the URL which got me into the ownCloud app.Any pointers, would be gratefully received.

I'm delighted to be able to report that I've finally got NextCloud working on my Nexus 5, and I really couldn't be happier. Thanks for all the support, especially from the Telegram UBPorts Clouderama group - in particular Wayne(OutThere) and Amolith Seregoin.
