hello.
I'm quite new in the project, but i have a teclast tablet on my desk collecting dust, so wanna try to experiment a bit on this cheap device.
I really love the idea to run Linux software (i develop in gambas3 some open source apps) on touch devices like phones or tablet.Googling around i found this thread: https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/ubuntu-on-teclast/
but seems the "images" they talk about are gone due a misterious lenovo bug.
Is there a guide to follow to install ubuntu (touch i suppose) on those intel tablets?
Thanks.

This tablet shipped with Windows originally. I'm not sure if it would be possible to create a port of Ubuntu Touch for it. The link you posted was about running standard Ubuntu as I understand it.
If you can get Ubuntu 16.04 to boot on the device and all the hardware working properly with it, then it should theoretically be possible to build a port for it. There are currently no x86 phones/tablets which Ubuntu Touch is ported to, though.

@allegfede oops I removed my latest post because I confused your device model
Just for the record, I linked this thread on Reddit https://old.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/b05gpw/linux_tablet_ready_successfully_installed_arch_on/
It seems it isn't possible to install even "normal" Ubuntu on that device but maybe this Postmarket project might be of your interest: https://wiki.postmarketos.org/wiki/Teclast_X80_Pro_(teclast-x80pro)
PS I've moved this topic from Porting to OT
