Oneplus 3/3T

@Flohack Can you explain a little bit more how to install anbox in the oneplus 3t? I am trying to install it, but I am a little bit lost.
Thanks -
@gac6 it needs kernel patches firsthand, are you sure that @vince1171 has integrated them already?
-
@Flohack
I guess so : https://github.com/Halium/android_kernel_oneplus_msm8996/commit/0abee3d069b71e9ad679d28318faa6eca33777d3
Didn't try yet. -
@gac6 then please give us the output from:
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ anbox-tool status
-
@Flohack @gac6 You can also check :

I ran into an issue. I paused the download of Ubuntu touch update and it doesn't react to clicking on "resume". I switched channel which canceled the download, but it doesn't react clicking on "retry" either. Has anyone experienced it before?
-
@paci87 When you say changed channel do you mean in system settings? If so no other channel will work you should be on the edge channel above Developement.
-
@Lakotaubp I know but that was the only thing that had an effect on the paused unresponsive download. After an hour I tried again and it refreshed, as I opened the updates page.
-
@paci87 OK at least your sorted now

Hi all!
Just to steer things up a bit regarding issues with no signals about incoming calls. Today I've installed latest update (OS build number 2020-02-18/2) and tried again to test whether there are some improvements regarding the subject. Unfortunately not real improvement happened in usual mode, still about half of incoming calls are missed with no signal about them. However, what I noticed is that when device is connected to charger or PC - then suddenly it starts receiving all the calls. From 10 incoming test calls with different period of time between them it did not miss a single one, which had never happened before. Mb this is some direction to dig in? Until no proper fix is found - mb this info could be at least used to create some hacky work-around to this issue? At least phone would become usable.
Cheers! -
@pglushkov I noticed that when it "goes to sleep", even the wifi turns off. So, maybe keeping it plugged it prevents it from deeper hibernation.
Very interesting thing that you have found!
-
Some reading on a problem tends to be similar, however doesn't say we have the same issue :
https://together.jolla.com/question/47765/4g-lte-bug-cannot-receive-call-diverted-to-voicemail/ -
@pglushkov Yes, very interesting!! No idea what it means from the technical side though!
I tested this on my 3T today and can confirm it also rang for 10 out of 10 calls, waking the phone up each time. Also, each call was connected instantly on the first ring...this hasn't happened before.
I have added this info to the bug report
https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/1355 -
Another thing I notice with 3T. After notifications received whilst phone in standby display does not turn off again after a few seconds, as it does on SonyX, E4.5. Display turns off after reaching the time set in Settings>Battery>Sleep when idle.
Anyone else have this?

may i ask please i just installed UT to oneplus 3T
open store is suggesting for to install the stable version for the following
1.notes
2.terminal
3.openstore as the installed version doesn't come from the openstore server
shall i do that or since it's on edge i have to keep it as it is
also is there away to remove the warning screen every time i restart the phone -
@stan You can go ahead and install those. Aldo best to install system updates on a daily basis.
-
@Lakotaubp thank you very much for your fast help.
for the second part is there away to remove the phone warning that comes with every restart -
-
I can't change the volume of calls and its very silent.
Anybody else with this issue or is this a known bug? -
@thilov Yes, same here. Don't know if it's known bug. Loudspeaker for calls also does not work and this is known (same on the Sony) but not sure if bug report has been done.
Maybe search the bug reports on github? I'll have look later or tomorrow...
