@Flohack I was thinking of writing a guide on how to flash the phone. There is a lot of steps to do and it is very easy to do something wrong. I usually use the gui/terminal combination when doing things on my computer, I just can't manage to do all in the terminal. Maybe it would be easier for others to follow such a guide?
-
@Rondarius Well I would love to hearing from you where my guide was not written well enough Just I want to prevent to have multiple guides, as this already happened to my Samsung S3 port ^^ - I would ask you to directly add/change things in the pad.ubports.com link. Also, such a guide can be a general guide for all phones, so if you want to do something with screenshots etc. then please lets try to make it more device-indepenendet. We cannot maintain picture-rich guides for all models.
But yes, why not, step ahead
-
Great, I will make something up and I will let you have a look on it before we publish it.

I stumbled upon my nexus 6p today and decided to see if there was anything I could do with it and found this forum and have followed the steps abdicate installed Ubuntu touch.
I am wondering those that have installed it as well what carrier did you have success with because I haven't been able to get verizon to work at all. -
@luke911able Verizon is unlikely to allow your phone back on their Network. But PagePlus and the other Verizon based MVNOs should. I have used my Nexus 6P on Google Fi, Red Pocket (an AT&T MVNO), and T-Mobile/Metro all with no problem
-
@rocket2nfinity thanks I'll try a straighttalk sim when I get a chance to in the next few days
-
Got it to work with straight talk at&t! like is already known from the previous posts it works except for call audio.

Guys I love you all for taking this journey! Unfortunately due to the virus outbreak I am a bit limited to work on this port but I promise to call call audio working asap. I hope you stay onboard for a while
-
@Flohack I'm not going anywhere.... Because I can't!
It's calls and camera that's not working correct? Or did I miss an update while trying to miss the plague?.....
-
@rocket2nfinity Yeah sorry, still those are the 2 big blockers now....
-
Also flashed it yesterday without any issues. Seems to be working quite well so far other than the issues mentioned above, I'll report back if anything else becomes apparent... thanks for your efforts @Flohack
-
Just flashed it, working great
-
Hi. Found your thread and installed the port. My first try of Ubuntu Touch and it works surprisingly well on my Nexus 6P! I'm not a hardcore developer, but if there is any demand, I can challenge my developing skills in contributing to this port!
btw; Had no issues whatsoever while installing the OS. The only issues is with the missing features, like camera and appstore that you most likely already know about. I have the 8-core version.
-
@7rst1 Hmm now I got interested, which kinda App store you are missing?
-
Dear all,
rotation seem to have died on my development branch, can someone confirm this also for the latest one I have released? Thx
-
@Flohack Where do I download the latest build? This one is a couple of months old:

@Rondarius I did not upload a new one, since there were no significant changes. Just now I am thinking of preparing an update, and I find rotation broken. Thats why I ask, if rotation works on the old one
-
@Flohack Yes it does.
-
@Flohack Works on mine. Occasionally there is some sort of sensor crash happening in the background. When it stops working, GPS and other things stop working. But I haven't been able to figure out what triggers it
-
@Flohack Sorry for late response. The store is there, but doesn't load anything. I can update through the system settings though.
