@enrolado You can build halium on any system, it is very similar to building android. I am using Manjaro linux without problems.

@Flohack I would happily help you guys test for hours (have a lot of time and very interested).

But I need a Nexus 5 w Ubuntu....know where I can buy one aside from Ebay?

I bought a oneplus 1, but hosed the installation....just reluctant to do it myself.

              Update:

Thanks to @rubencarneiro we are progressing now finally on the core features. Audio in calls seems to work, only minor adjustments needed. Also we have unblocked auto brightness and proximity sensor πŸ™‚

I think I'll also join testing this with my "new" Nexus 5 which I don't use anymore because of an issue with the modem and charging.

Hi, I was just wondering if there's any new concerning the development of the Halium 7.1 port for the Nexus 5? Will it be finally released in a future OTA? Is there any way to help you?
Thank you very much for your feedback!

@stanwood yes it was just blocked for some time by my Halium 9 efforts for some other devices ^^ and to check out its state. Also, I am considering to look into using that also for hammerhead and angler, since both received LOS 16 back then. And there are much easier integrations it seems, especially for camera and bluetooth. So it might be worth thinking to skip 7.1 after all πŸ™‚

I'm still new to using this on my Nexus 5, so i probably wouldn't be much help, but I do have a question? I can make calls via the cell, but not wifi calls, am I missing something or is this not an option?

@lt-dillinger VoWifi is not yet supported by UT. Btw there are other threads here treating this question as it's off this specific topic πŸ˜‰

@flohack I own an hammerhead device and would like to test a "recent" Linux system on it.

I gladly make myself available as an alpha tester.
Is there already a Halium 9 based build to test?
