Is there a way to hide the Wifi hotspot SSID on the Nexus 5?

I read about /etc/hostapd.conf and "ignore_broadcast_ssid=0" for Ubuntu, but don't know where hostapd.conf is on UT if there is a file by that name. I've been looking. I also am not sure yet on how to use "ignore_broadcast_ssid=0" or where to place it in the file if placement matters.

Hiding the SSID isn't about security. I read an article on that. I'm in a position where "out of sight out of mind" is appreciated. Thanks for any advice.
