This is only a user suggestion who is don't know about programming. It will be great if we can run apk files on UT without anbox or any emulator. I mean APK file support on UT. Are there any projects working on it?

What you are asking for is not really possible. There is a project going on to make Anbox work better in UT though.

        Best regards,

@TotalSonic will android work as a subsystem on UT? Is that possible? Any pre installed FOSS client of playstore will be great too

There is momentum around Anbox on UT currently. It is probably the best way to be able to run apk on UT. Unfortunately, you will have to wait a few months before being able to see the results. Please be patient 😉

What you are asking for is Anbox. AFAIK Anbox is not an emulator but a containerized Android userspace running on the same Linux Kernel. That is almost as running it natively.

Other than that, there are efforts to port Flutter to desktop Ubuntu.
