help to get ubports installer working

When I try to run the installer I get this, please can anyone advise what to do to get it working, the version I am running is the latest as far as can tell. When I open the GUI it just runs 'no internet connection' on a loop.

This likely means that your installation is broken.
Try running the command
gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache
to make things work again for the time being.
