Some cookies save, some don't?

I've noticed on using a couple of social apps that some save your username and password (so you can just open them) and some require new logins. My suspicion is that some flag was missing in the creation of the app. (I was testing the MeWe UT app and it always requires a login, but the other three socials I am using on it save my information. I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that it has to go to the desktop screen?)
Anyway, any insights on that would help.

Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit?
