Freestyle Libre Glucose Meter Data

I am looking to get a new phone and switch to ubuntu touch, however its kind of crucial for me to be able to download the data from my freestyle libre glucose meter via NFC. Android and ios offer an app but the discussions I have found concerning this in ubuntu touch are pretty outdated.
Wondering if anyone has anyone has managed this or has any current infos? Its the only reason I haven't already long switched!
